Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

DeExclusives Music Organization is responsible for the personal information you send through this website.

To ask what we hold, or to ask for a correction or deletion, use the contact form.

Information you give us

If you contact us, volunteer, propose a partnership, request an outreach, or offer an instrument, we ask for your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message. You confirm that we may use those details to reply.

If you donate, we ask for your name, email address, the amount, and whether a public thank-you should leave your name out. The gift is in Nigerian naira. You enter card or bank details on Paystack’s page. We never see or store your card number.

If you join email updates, we ask for your email address. We note when you asked to join, whether you confirmed, and whether you later unsubscribed.

Why we use it

We use your message to reply to you. We use donation details to take the gift, confirm that it succeeded, and keep a proper record of money received.

We email you a confirmation before we add you to updates. If you unsubscribe, we keep only enough to make sure we do not write to you again.

We publish a participant’s name, photograph, or story only with consent. We also use basic security checks so the forms are not filled in by automated abuse.

Who else receives it

Paystack processes your donation. Our email provider sends confirmation messages and replies that we ask it to send. If a spam check is shown on a form, Cloudflare uses it to tell a person from an automated submission.

We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry while we are dealing with it, and for up to 24 months after it is closed. A safeguarding concern may be kept longer when that is needed to protect someone.

We keep donation records for at least six years so we can account for money received. We keep a confirmed email address until you unsubscribe. A story or photograph stays on the site until we take it down, and we remove it if consent is withdrawn.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from updates after you confirm. You can also ask us, through the contact form, what we hold about an enquiry or subscription and whether it should be corrected or deleted.

An anonymous donation keeps your name out of public thanks. We and Paystack still need your name and email to take the payment and receipt it.

Children

We do not ask children to send us their personal details through this website. A parent, teacher, or guardian may write to us about a programme.

We do not publish a photograph or story that identifies a young person unless we have consent to do so.

Changes

If the way we use personal information changes, we will update this page. The date above is the current version.
